This week I saw two kitchens from blogger friends that lit my inspirational fire.
Melissa from The Inspired Room posted about her updated kitchen. I painted my lower kitchen cabinets last year a lighter gray and seeing hers done in the darker gray totally made me want to do mine all over again. Except not. It was a huge job. If it gets done again I will pay someone to do it.
Then Shannon from Flowerpatch Farmgirl posted her kitchen and I was smitten all over again. Suddenly my non painting streak was broken (I had been wanting to finish painting my hallway and kids’ bathroom, both on my list since last January when I painted my kitchen and living room). I suddenly had to break open a can of paint.
I decided to paint the dingy white cabinets in the kids’ bath black. And the girls chose a bright pink for the walls. I was either super inspired or super woman because I finished it all just 23 hours before I hosted Ladies’ Bible Study at my house. Not to brag but I also made cookies and Lasagna soup in that time period. I know most of you are super women every day, but my cape only appears about once a year.
This is a quick iPhone shot before we had it all put back together and we still want to get a fun new rug and shower curtain.
Have you ever been so inspired you had to ACT NOW? I love that kind of inspiration.
