Tiny Tip Tuesday | Clearer closeups | Melissa Stover Photography

photo tips

You’re taking close-up shots of your favorite face, what’s the best way to get a sharp image?

1. Focus on the eye. Especially if you have a lens that allows you to blur the background (50mm f/1.8 is a great starter lens for that), you will need to watch where you focus. Some cameras will allow you to move your focal point so you can focus to one side while your subject is composed in the center of the frame. Tap the screen of your iPhone to focus on your subject.

2. Be still. Brace your arms to steady yourself as you take the shot.

3. Make sure you have good light.

Have fun getting shots of that adorable face!
