When you are the family photographer, when you are the one passionate about photography, you are the one often left out of the story.
You are so important to your family’s story. I’ve heard all the excuses and said many to myself. “I don’t like the way I look,” is the one I hear most often.
It’s time to get over that. Your kids love you no matter how you look and they will want to see you in the family photos years from now. Don’t put it off.
It’s worth the effort of passing the camera off to someone else, setting the timer, using a remote, or even snapping a camera shot at arm’s length to show up in your family’s story.
The Anderson Crew does an Embrace The Camera challenge that is going on this week. Check that out and participate!
Your challenge: get in the picture!

Thanks to everyone who has been participating. And thanks for sticking with this series. Your words are so encouraging to me to keep going. 31 days is a lot of writing and just about every single kid I own has been sick this week.
