I’ve got a senior session I’m so eager to share with you, but you have to wait because I changed up the order of things around here. In the past after a shot a session, I would blog it within three days, giving the client a sneak peek on my blog. When I began doing in home viewing sessions, I decided to change up the sneak peek too. Now the client sees all her images at once in my home before anyone else sees them.
You see it always bugged me that if I blogged a session and the client didn’t get around to seeing it right away then lots of other people saw their images before they did. Now that I’ve changed the order of things, they see their images first, before anyone else. And, while it’s hard for me to sit on the blog post until their viewing date, I love being able to give them the first look.
I do post one image on my Facebook fan page right after the session, just so they’ll know everything went well. This was the one image I posted from Callie’s session. It was so hard to choose just one. The light, the location and Callie’s sweet personality and beautiful smile made her whole gallery sparkle.
Some clients choose not to be blogged at all, especially for fall family sessions when they might be using their images for Christmas cards or gifts. They might choose to keep those images under wraps until they are ready to share them. While this is completely understandable, it’s so hard not to share them.
What do you think about the new order of things? Do you want to be the very first person to see your images?
