I feel like I failed just a little bit on getting those Awesome Halloween photos I should have gotten.
I did great on the two little pirates. They were easy to dress up ahead of time and photograph them while they played. They are some of my favorite Halloween photos. But the rest of us, I failed. My girls decided on a Hocus Pocus theme and two of their friends participated with them. Their friends arrived just an hour before our fall festival started and they had to rush to get dressed. We were running out the door and I didn’t even get a whole family shot, much less some of them at home. Once at the fall festival I was able to get a few shots of them.
Another failure was getting mine and my husband’s picture. I snapped a couple with my iPhone, and I intended to pass my camera to someone once we got to the festival and get some shots, but I never did. Luckily there was a photobooth at the festival and we got one together.
I’m letting go of the idea that we will ever all dress up in a theme again like the year we did superheros, but everyone doing their own thing can be fun too. I already have some ideas for next year. Hope your Halloween was super fun!
