Tiny Tip Tuesday | Backing up iPhone photos

February 18, 2014

photo-tips

I use my iPhone so often to take everyday shots and it fills up quickly. I hate getting the message that my storage is full. Then I have to go through and decide which photos to delete or hook the phone up to the computer and download the images. But I finally found a way to save my photos without ever even having to think about it. I use a website called IFTTT.com (if then then that). It lets you create recipes for all kinds of things and makes your life so much easier.

You can set it up to save all your photos to a flickr account. Then your photos will be stored online whenever you need them. If you use Instagram, you can set up a recipe to save all your Instagram photos to your Dropbox account. You can even set it up to email you every photo you take with your iPhone. Although, if you take as many photos as I do you might want to set up a separate email account just for your photos.

You’ll never have to worry about deleting another photo again.

Check out ifttt.com and see what it can do for you.

Also, Alli (a friend of mine) wrote a post on her favorite ifttt recipes. You might find a few that make your life easier.
