I can’t believe it’s been two years since Ruthanne and I did the Shoot Shop, a class for beginning DSLR users. I was terrified, sweating, my face was red, and I’m sure my voice was shaking because these things happen to me whenever I speak to a crowd and everyone is looking at me. I hate to be the center of attention and yet, I agreed to do it two years ago and now I am agreeing to do it again.
Why do I put myself through this torture? Because I really do enjoy teaching people how to use their cameras. And, once we get past the presenting information part of the class and start the one on one practicing, it becomes a whole lot more fun for me.
If you’ve made the investment in a big girl camera, it’s time to get it off auto and learn just how much you can do with it.
What will you learn in this class?
- How to adjust your ISO, and why it’s important.
- How to adjust your aperture and the changes it makes to your pictures when you do.
- What is the exposure triangle, why it’s important, and how it works to make your pictures even better.
- One-on-one training until you understand just how those buttons work.
Find out more about the class, read what past attendees have to say, and sign up to attend here. We are keeping the class small so we can do a lot of one on one instruction after the class. We want you to leave knowing how to use your camera.
