Photography tips and tricks ~ Instagrams

insta prints

If you are a big fan of Instagram like I am, you may have found yourself wanting to print them, put them in a book or just have a back up of them in a safe place. Today’s tips are all about Instagram photos. What to do with them, how to save them, and how to get them off Instagram and onto your computer so you can delete them from your phone without feeling like they are gone forever.

It’s so easy to download your Instagram photos directly to your computer using Instaport. I try to do this monthly and put them in a file so that I can print them occasionally. I even put them in my yearly photo albums so I love having easy access to them.

To tell your photos what to do and where to go instantly each time you post an Instagram photo, use IFTTT. It allows you set up recipes like if I post to Instagram, it also sends my photo to Flickr, or whatever I want. I always send my Instagram photos to Flickr for easy access for blog posts and also as a back up.

Don’t forget to print some of your Instagrams. I love Artifact Uprising. You can print beautiful books or just 5 x 5 prints. I recently printed a stack of Instagrams in size 5 x 5 from mpix.

Whatever you choose to do, just don’t leave them on your computer or your phone. Get them off, print them and enjoy them!
