Last night we had our church’s Halloween carnival. I love doing this. I love having a safe, fun place for my kids to go in costume and have fun. A lot of our local churches are doing this now and it makes it easy for parents to take their kids to several places without having to go house to house. The rodeo clowns and their pit “bull” were my favorite costumes of the night. Even though the bull was a bit of an unwilling participant.
Our older kids ran booths and games. My kids did face painting, but there was also an Angry Birds game, a hoop game, pick up the ducks, and a few more.
Last year my family all came as superheros and it was awesome. This year we had a garden theme. My husband was supposed to be the gardener, but he had to work late. Boo. I was the bee, my big girls were butterflies, littlest one was a ladybug and my son was a spider.
Would you believe I didn’t eat one piece of candy the whole night? Halloween candy doesn’t tempt me, however if we’d had a cotton candy machine I would have overdosed on that.
What Halloween candy did you steal and hide away out of your kid’s bag last night?
