My Instagram Tree

November 30, 2012

This year I’ve somehow managed to get decorated for Christmas early. It was mostly due to the constant encouragement of my kids, but once I got started I got in the Christmas mood. On one of my smaller trees I wanted to do something different and I knew I wanted to add pictures. I finally decided on using some of my favorite Instagram shots. I printed out 4 per 4 x 6 paper and I chose to use only the black and white ones.

Then I cut “frames” from Kraft cardstock and glued my little Instagrams on quite imperfectly. I added a piece of looped red and white twine to hang them and I love it.

Later I added the dollar store pack of gold and white balls and some cute crocheted stars. The twig star, inspired by Pinterest, was perfect for the top.

It was so easy and we love seeing the pictures every day. It’s a great way to enjoy your Instagram snapshots.

Melissa, thanks for sending me over from A Familiar Path — I LOVE THIS TREE! This tree alone may push me over into Instagramania. And the star on top is wonderful. Merry Christmas!
