May brings more sunshine, warmer weather, all kinds of blooming flowers, and baseball.
I never thought I would enjoy sports of any kind, but I have to admit to enjoying baseball season. I still don’t know everything that’s going on, but I figure after several years of games, I might begin to.
I’ve don’t have a love for photographing the sport, but my son loves to have pictures of his game. So, the things that I can’t resist, like a golden evening sunset, or blue hour when the field lights come on, motivate me to pull out the camera and I’m learning a little each game how to be creative and not get the same boring shots over and over again.
Sometimes I try to blur out the fence by zooming in as much as I can, but other times the fencing is what makes it appealing. Dugout shots are some of my favorites. It may not be where the action is, but it’s where the faces are. His teammates are part of his baseball memories and so I make them part of my collection.
For the field shots I use the Canon 70-200 zoom lens and for the dugout shots I used my 24-70 zoom lens.
