One of the things I’ve always loved doing with my children is going on a nature walk. We love to walk around the yard and see what we can find. Often we come back with quite a collection of rocks, feathers, flowers, but sometimes we just come back with pictures of the things we saw.

Right at the beginning we spotted a rabbit, but then Mr. Darcy spotted it too and chased it off.

We’ve been doing a bird study so we really wanted to find some nests, spots some birds, or even find a feather.  We did find a feather at the end, but we see the birds best from our window at the feeders.

My niece is graduation from Star City High School in just a few days! I was excited to do some senior portraits for her recently. It was perfect timing for the azaleas and everything is beautiful and green right now.

They met on a four wheeler ride on New Year’s Eve. After some talking on Facebook and a few texts, they finally had their first date at Chef Lee. Now they have a June wedding planned. Steven is my cousin and he picked the sweetest girl for his bride. Hannah is beautiful inside and out and I have never seen anyone more excited about planning a wedding than she is. She has collected bride magazines, pinned ideas on Pinterest, and had bridal ideas swirling around in her head since the day he asked her to marry him. We are so happy for the both of them.

I may have missed her birth, but I’ve been lucky enough to see more of this sweet girl than any of her five siblings before her. She’s six months old, the perfect size for cuddling, and all kinds of squishy goodness. Sometimes she’ll let me hold her while her mama’s busy and sometimes I’m even rewarded with a smile.

What do you do with a little boy who doesn’t like his picture taken? The same boy who hides behind his mother’s leg when he sees me? How do you draw him out and make him excited about the camera? All it took was a mask and a cape and he was ready to leap tall buildings. I even caught a happy smile or two behind that mask.

I cannot shake the chill off this winter. There haven’t been enough consecutive days of warmth for my bones to thaw. And Easter weather was a bit of a disappointment. We did not have an egg hunt. I did not take a single family picture on Sunday. I want an Easter do over. I want a sunny afternoon with kids running in the yard after colored eggs. And I just might call for one.

It’s time for another peek inside the bag. Delivery day is so exciting. I have spent time getting all your products and prints together and packaged them all up beautifully. I’ve written notes, included a special gift, and I can’t wait for you to open it.

I appreciate their willingness to spend time with me getting all this footage and their positive attitudes throughout the whole day. They worked hard and looked great doing it.
