Emma

March 4, 2012

emma bw

My daughter and I set aside this day to take some portraits of her. She chose her own outfits and even left on her polka dot fingernail polish. She’s 12, and not only will she be changing into a teenager soon, she will also be having some dental work in the next few years that will change her smile. I wanted to get some shots of this smile right now, before the changes begin. She loves hats and make-up, high heels and jewelry, but I have to reign her in on all that right now. She’s still my little girl. She plays the violin and loves to sew. She is very creative, and I think she might just end up being my reader. After all our learning to read struggles, she’s finally loving the written word. And that makes me very happy.
