When we drove up to our condo I said, “Oh look, they have a kiddie pool!” My three year old said, “We should have brought our cats!”
She had the hardest time figuring out why we thought that was so funny. We laughed a lot on this trip.
We waited, planned and looked forward to our family vacation all summer long. We planned it in September when the crowds were mostly gone and the weather was nice. At least we hoped it would be nice, and it delivered.
The days at the beach were warm enough to get in the water, and just nice enough to sit on the sand. Evenings were a perfect time to walk down the shore and look for shells. I loved sunsets on the beach the very best.
We even got a chance to visit my cousin and her family while we were there. Their awesome Jack Russell Terriers entertained us in their pool. They love to swim! And my cousin taught my kids how to use her paddle board.
It was so good to see her and her beautiful children. We enjoyed visiting with them.
And, as always, it’s good to come home with a bucket full of sea shells and memories of that beautiful place.
